Honey Wata Spiritual Botanica, formally known as Created to Be, was founded in 2015 as a collection of five head wraps + hand made crystal body adornments, which Omitola "Jae" St.Julien sold directly from her apartment. Today, HWSB has transformed into three store front locations, as an art gallery, wellness studio, and beauty studio. HWSB is a lifestyle brand that promotes spiritual awareness + spiritual hygiene, focuses on healthy community connections and serves to both empower and inspires families to transform their lifestyle
+ culture into a spiritual centered one.

The Honey Wata Spiritual Botanica continues to grow and evolve in its purpose, yet one this stay consistent. Our core goal is to spark inspiration and encourage those whom seek a spiritual connection with themselves, others, nature a wise place to inquire, learn, and share. We want to liberate our community to Lead their lives.
Our primary business mission is to continue to create + curate quality handmade spiritual tools and art that are successful in helping strengthen the connection to ones self, the spiritual realm, nature, + community from a centered, healthy, authentic space.

Ifafunmiwo " Jae St. Julien" Omitola goes by Omitola + utilizes herbs + intention setting as one of many tools to help her to connect with people on a deeper soul level. Her background as a Biology + Biochemistry student at Christopher Newport University give her a deep understanding of the human anatomy + biological systems that support overall well being. She uses her educational degrees in combination with experience + her herbal knowledge to tend to her clients wellness needs.
Omitola's life goals is to educate her community on how to care for themselves + their families spiritually, how to define + adopt culture for themselves, + how to honor ones inner wisdom + truth while actively engaging with the world.

We are a small woman-led group of BIPOC creatives who love empowering through spiritual development, culture, fashion, and entrepreneurship. Through events and workshops, we cultivate healing space for our community in our Newport News, Virginia locations to become inspired + tap into their healing. It is our joy to handmake our goods locally and inspire a global community online and through, bringing locally hand-crafted goods straight to your front door.
