Vaginal Steaming has been historically used to cleanse the uterus, release toxins, improve blood circulation to promote fertility, cleansing after the menstrual cycle each month, after childbirth support to re-strengthen and tone the reproductive organs, symptoms of PMS, blood clotting during the menstrual cycle, to regulate the menstrual cycle. Yoni Steams are great for preventative care. They are known to alleviate symptom and prevent: uterine fibroids, painful menstruation, uterine weakness, uterine prolapse, irregular menstrual cycles, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, reproductive adhesion/scar tissue, previous vaginal tear or episiotomy, and dark purple or brown blood at the onset or end of menses and there are many benefits for those who wish to enhance their sex life.
How Steaming Heals
One thing is evident--vaginal steaming doesn't hurt, and--if it does work in a specific case--it's a really good alternative to surgery and artificial hormones. For most, it is practical and affordable to give it a try. It feels like a warm sauna & bath for your vagina, the immediate effects are what many people love. The long term effects is why it has stayed around for so long.

The warmth of the water stimulate blood circulation to the yoni and the womb area and promotes the cervix and tissues of the vagina to secrete and release any toxins, tissues, etc. This warmth in the womb is also associated with releasing "cold chi or energy" from the yoni in asian culture. The energetic release is healing for the womb as well for many spiritual reasons.
How Often to Steam?
This is a self assessment and self care ritual that on average is done 1-2 times a month, however you can perform them weekly if you have time and feel they are needed. Follow the conversation between you and your womb & trust your intuition.
